Alex himself has worked in menswear and suits for over 45 years. The McLeod family involvement with men's and women's clothing began 60 years ago when Alex's father started hawking men's clothes around the back-blocks of the Wairarapa. He travelled in his little van facing swollen rivers, bad roads and other perils that confronted travellers of the time. Out of that was born the business of today.
